The MC4-Evo2 is latest version of the MC4 connector.

The MC4 is now available in an easy-to-use snap-in PV connector. The MC4-Evo Ready is quick to install as it enables crimp-free assembly without the need for special tools allowing savings in time whilst still ensuring Stäubli quality.

Stäubli MC4 branch connectors for parallel connections.

• Rating 1000V, 40 A (with 4 mm² cable)
• Compatable with conductors from 2.5 to 6 mm²
• Temperature rating: up to 85 °C ambient temperature

These cables have a male connector on one end and a female connector on the other. They can be used to extend PV module output cables or cut to provide a male & female cable from module to junction box.

MC4 sealing covers are used to protect the connectors from water and dust ingress. It is particularly important to use sealing covers during installation when the connectors are left disconnected and exposed to the elements. MC4 connectors that have been exposed to moisture may suffer internal corrosion which can cause increased resistance and earth leakage issues.
